Saturday 14th August – bike ***** – Around Felixstowe including lunch with ‘Emily’ at Falkenham Church – sunny periods.

Nice state to the day when I learned I had another pic in the local paper, Mags back again, it’s been a good month so far:) There was a chance of more foiling today but the wind was a little slow in coming so did my exercises in the back garden and then thought it would be nice to spend some time with Mag so decided to pack lunch and head out on our bikes. After a sunny morning it had clouded over a bit as we skirted the park at The Grove before heading down Marsh Lane to Kings Fleet enjoying Suffolk big skies. There was a combine in a field of rape but sadly it was parked up so moved on up to our favourite bench with lovely views at Falkenham Church where we enjoyed our lunch in the peace and quiet! We had some blue sky back now but the breeze had picked up but never mind as I have windsurfing loads of times this month already! Well rested we take the footpaths and lanes back to Kirton, over the A 14 and down Grimston Lane taking the tree lined avenue back to Trimley meeting our neighbours out walking their greyhound and stopped for a chat. Down to Felixtowe docks where Mag takes the Morrisons route as I continue down to the end of the prom at The Manor end, there was one foiler out, Ian I think but the wind had eased so as I battled my way back home along a very crowded prom, I had already decided to give sailing a miss today and wait to see what tomorrow brings! Home for cake and a cuppa before dozing off on the settee:)
